Delicious Apple Pie Oatmeal Recipe

This delicious apple pie oatmeal is a sweet and hearty breakfast full of fiber, vitamins, and some protein. It has lots of warm spices like: ginger, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon!
- 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Small Apple Diced
- 2 TBSP Honey
- Dash Ginger
- Dash Nutmeg
- Dash Clove
- Dash Cinnamon
- 1/4 Cup Greek Yogurt
- Small Handful Slivered Almonds
Dice up the apples and place them in a pan (think like medium sauce pan).
Add your dry oats and water and cook slowly on low to medium heat.
Add a healthy dash or two of your spices: ginger, nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon.
By dash I mean a healthy shake from your seasoning shakers
Add 1-2 tablespoons of honey to sweeten up your oatmeal.
Cook until the water is gone and your oatmeal is thick and soft.
Add the oats to the bowl and then add 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt on top.
Add a small handful of almonds on top
- By dash I mean a healthy shake from your seasoning shakers.
- My husband prefers vanilla Greek yogurt, but you can use plain if you want.
- I’m terrible about not measuring, so I’m sorry. I usually pinch a small amount with my fingers rather than dipping my whole hand in the almond bag.
