This baked ribs recipe is simple, yummy, and tender. Everything ribs should be. Dinner doesn’t always have to be difficult or elaborate. Sometimes a dinner you can throw in the oven and not have to fuss over it is best especially on days when you’re busy or tired. And unlike crockpot ribs (which are delicious) these ribs are still tender without being pulled pork. If that makes sense at all. You can pull the bones out of this baked ribs recipe, but it still has a bite to it. So, let’s make some oven baked ribs!
Baked Ribs Recipe
I would love to grill and smoke meats…or correction I would like my husband to learn this. However, this just isn’t feasible for either of us at the moment, though, we’re learning slowly. That being said, I love ribs. Love them. And while I typically make them in a crockpot they’re super fall apart to the point of having to spoon them out and come out more like bbq pulled pork. Which isn’t bad, but it isn’t the same when you wanna pick up a rib and go at it caveman style.
These ribs are still tender enough you can easily rib out the bone, but stay together enough on the bone that you can pick it up and tear into it with your teeth! They’re flavorful with plenty of seasoning, sweet bbq that gets all sticky and yummy. This baked ribs recipe is perfect for any night!

Ingredients Needed For This Baked Ribs Recipe
- 1 Pack St. Louis Style Pork Ribs
- Tin Foil
- Cooking Spray
- Whatever spices you like (I used Redmond’s salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic power, onion powder)
- Favorite BBQ (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Brown Sugar)
How To Make These Yummy Baked Ribs
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 275F.
Step 2
Lay out some tinfoil and spray it with cooking spray or whatever oil you use to keep stuff from sticking.
Step 3
Lay out your meat. I don’t trim, I leave all of it as is, it gets tender enough the silver skin isn’t an issue. You can cut it off if you want.
Step 4
Season your meat. I don’t measure for this. I just season the top well.
Step 5
Drizzle some BBQ on your meat. We want the sweetness, smokiness, and acidity to permeate the meat while it cooks. It makes it flavorful and tender.
Step 6
Put more tinfoil on top and roll the sides to make a pouch around the meat.
Step 7
Cook for 3-3.5 hours or until the meat is at least 190F.
Step 8
Rip the top open on your ribs, and put a healthy dose of BBQ on top, spreading it out.
Step 9
Put the broiler on low and let the BBQ get nice and sticky on top of the ribs. Keep an eye on your ribs so the BBQ doesn’t smoke or burn.
Step 10
Serve and enjoy!
