I became aware of Kylie Perkins when a specific group of people tried to cancel her. Of course, when someone is at risk of being canceled I have to investigate. I’m nosey. And like so many others, this women did nothing other than having a different view point from others. And as I watched Kylie Perkins she not only helped me, but other men and women who were struggling with stress, mental health, and a messy house. So, let’s talk about Kylie Perkins.
Who Is Kylie Perkins?
Kylie Perkins is well-known on TikTok as an influencer. To sum it up, she helps motivate young mothers, young women, and men to take chare of not only their mental well-being and take charge of their home. She pushes for self-improvement, productivity, and self-care through tough love.
A little personal information, she is 27 and from North Carolina. She shows people her daily routines and explains the reasoning behind everything. She is very no nonsense, no excuse, and speaks loudly. There is no babying, no sugared words, and no excuses. But she does nothing in malice, but the tough love has helped millions.
What Are Her TikToks About?
Her TikToks, I briefly explained, are made to motivate people to take back their mental health and take charge of their homes. She talks about different aspects of the home. Different aspects of mental distress and how a chaotic messy home can add to that. She also tells people the hard truth about their priorities, their excuses, but has empathy and understanding. And she also talks about how she got to this point in her life too.
Why Did People Try To Cancel Kylie Perkins?
Her rise to fame really came from people trying to cancel her. We are very blessed that cancel culture is finally dying. Let me be clear, cancel culture is immature and hateful. And that’s what this was…a malicious attempt at destroying a woman based on her beliefs which differed from someone elses.
I won’t get into politics or point fingers at a certain party. But essentially it came from one person from a specific political party finding out who she supported as president and decided that Kylie Perkins needed to be canceled.
Over something so trivial as having a different view point. But a blessing came out of this malicious act. In an act of spite that ended up being a blessing to many, Kylie Perkins viewer count blew up and she now has a couple million of followers.
Why Do Others Dislike Kylie Perkins?
Others have likewise spread slander, generally in the comment section, spewing negativity. Which is their right, they can. But it stems from Kylie Perkins “yelling.” If you’ve ever seen her videos, she speaks loudly, but she isn’t “yelling.” And it’s apparent that people have never actually been yelled at if they think this is yelling.
And this comes from someone who grew up with someone who yelled nearly on the daily.
Not to mention, people tend to say she promotes burn out and has no sympathy for those who have mental illness. Which is the opposite of what she promotes if you actually watch her videos.
What it comes down to is people don’t like her rough demeanor, her tough love, or the fact she calls people out who would rather stay in their misery and not take back their lives and homes. And as often as not, misery loves misery meaning miserable people spreads misery.
Why Do I like Kylie Perkins?
Obviously, I’m pro Kylie Perkins? But why? She has actually helped me. I know my blog is all about homemaking, but I was struggling after we moved. And I still am partially if I’m being honest, though I’m doing much better and its thanks to this woman.
Sometimes you need tough love to get your butt up and that’s what I needed. My home was reflecting my mental health. Needless to say, my house was a chaotic mess. Not mess as in nasty. There wasn’t rotten food or trash or anything like that. But things were cluttered, chaotic, and not orderly. And my kitchen was the worst offender.
It had herbs, spices, pots and pans (clean), everywhere. I was constantly in the kitchen and it showed. But I also couldn’t stand being in there. The counters were a mess and I couldn’t stand it, but I also struggled cleaning it. I didn’t want to see it and it felt monumental to get in there and do it.
But having someone explaining that it was adding stress, that sometimes you just have to get up and do it, and that my house wasn’t my priority is what I needed. I needed tough love. And once I got the kitchen done I was able to keep it clean and move onto the next room, and the next, until my house wasn’t chaotic anymore. And I am forever thankful.
I had no one else to tell me that. My husband loves me, but he is always gentle with me and not the tough love type when it comes to me. Though sometimes I need it. But there is also something special about having a woman giving you tough love when you’re a woman.
From One Woman To Another
Titus 2:3-5 says:
“The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
And of course there is the Proverbs 31 woman as well. We are supposed to be helping one another as women. But often times instead of helping we often enable or give terrible advice instead of righteous and kind advice. We say what people want to hear. And that isn’t what people need to succeed.
Women are in trouble. Women have embraced their curse of trying to rule over men and have hurt men and themselves. We need more wise and kind women teaching lost women. And I believe Kylie Perkins is doing just that. We should all be doing that.
