Easy and Yummy Sourdough Pancakes

Make morning delicious with these sourdough pancakes. They're light, fluffy, tangy, and don't sit heavy in the belly. Plus, they're a great way to use up sourdough discard!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Unbleached All Purpose Flour
  • 2 TSP Baking Powder
  • 1 TSP Baking Soda
  • 3 TBSP Granulated Sugar
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 1 Cup Runny Sourdough Discard
  • 1 1/2 Cup Oat Milk Or whatever your favorite milk is
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
  • 2 TBSP Butter Or favorite oil

Method
 

  1. Add your flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar to a bowl.
  2. Whisk together so it's mixed well.
  3. Add your liquid ingredients: sourdough starter, oat milk ( or milk), egg, and oil.
  4. Mix well until combined, but don't over mix.
  5. Heat up your griddle on low to medium heat.
  6. Add a pat of butter on the pan and then add your pancake.
  7. Cook until the edges look cooked and you have large bubbles on the middle of the pancake
  8. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  9. Serve with syrup and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure you spray your pan with non-stick spray if needed.
I use a ladle and 1 full ladle makes 1 pancake. Yes, we eat large pancakes.
