Praying for your husband should be a thing you do everyday. Prayer is so powerful, and praying regularly invites God into your and other’s lives to bring His will in your life. To bring healing, protection, and even supernatural peace.

Praying For My Husband

I’ve always prayed for my husband, mostly protection at work because he does have a more dangerous job. However, recently I learned that I needed to pray over my husband and cover a lot more areas of his life.

But I often prayed for his salvation as well. When I met him, his faith was shaken and he had told me he didn’t want to hear about God.

Praying and Laying Hands On Your Husband

I find myself praying more and more for him and laying hands on him in these difficult times. Between riots, the border, political division, food shortages, illnesses, war, and the everyday stress of work, family, health and more…It’s been rough.

He is much more worn down in ways I’ve never seen before, and I won’t lie, I tried finding the solutions that I could do to ease his burdens. However, I realized, I can’t fix everything and so I laid this at God’s feet.

Prayer works. After praying for 6 years my husband got saved and dedicated his life to Christ. God has healed me and protected my husband all these years. So, I believe wholeheartedly that God will take care of everything according to His will.

Wisdom
Courage
Strength
Armor of God over him
Protection from all attacks of the enemy
That the Holy Spirit will fill them
Pray God’s angelic warriors will protect them
That God’s will, will be furthered in their life
God will lead him from temptation
They will take up the mantle of leadership God designed them for
He will lead with meekness, respect and authority
God would give him deeper revelation of God’s love and that Christ is his first love
His heart is fully surrendered to God
The Lord would give him directions so he can grow the right fruits of the spirit
He will seek shelter in the Lord and not lean on himself
That he surrounds himself with Godly people
Pray for his health that he thrives spiritually, mentally, and physically
His work that everything his hands touch will be blessed
That the world will see God in him

Praying For Your Husband From Head To Toe

Pray over your husband from head to toe. It may feel weird at first, and if it doesn’t, then great. But for me, I felt weird doing it especially when I did it and laid hands on him. It isn’t something I was accustomed to, but it’s become something important to do in this day and age.

God is so good and will take care of us, even if it is in ways we don’t expect. And I see women all the time complain about stuff happening to their husbands, their husbands, and this is how we help. Out of love, we take time from our days to pray for our husbands.

Not Sure How To Pray For Your Husband?

New to praying? Sometimes praying can be difficult if you’re new to it. But you don’t have to say fancy words, you don’t have to use flowery language, just pray earnestly. God knows your heart.

But if you don’t know where to begin, this is the prayer I pray over my husband. You can change whatever you need to fit your husband’s life and situation.

Prayer For Your Husband:

Lord,

I come before you asking for forgiveness and repent of all my sins. I thank you for today, for all blessings, for all that you’ve given me, including my husband. This prayer is not for me, but for him, Lord.

I pray the armor of God over him, the helmet of salvation, the armor of righteousness, belt of truth, boots of the gospel of peace, that he will take up the sword of the spirit and shield of faith. I pray for protection while he is at work and at home. That you will protect him from every fiery dart of the enemy. That you will lead him from temptation. Let him see sin as your do and detest it.

Lord, please fill him with the Holy spirit and surround him with your angelic warriors. Please break down every stronghold in his life.

Heal him physically, emotionally, and most of all spiritually. Don’t let him become jaded like the world, but heal any illness in his body and fill him with your supernatural peace and joy.

I pray you help him keep captive every thought, every action, every word. That those he comes in contact with will see You in him. I pray you give him wisdom to understand your love for Him, understand your will, and to make wise decisions with a hearing and understanding heart. Courage to act in Your name, to act on decisions made, and strength to stand with the consequences of all actions.

Let him surround himself with holy people, with your people. But let him have a soft heart to reach out to those who still need to see you. Let him see others through your eyes.

Let Your will be done in his life. Let him take up his mantle as leader for our family and let him lead us spiritually and financially with wisdom. Let him lead in meekness, respect, strength and most importantly faith. Let him lean on you for guidance and not on himself.

Let all things he touches, may it be at work or at home, be blessed. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I love you Father, and I thank you for all things, good or challenge. In Christ name I pray, Amen.

A Foundation Of Prayer
